Looking For Atlantis

-Short Story Follows-

Day 13
Today is nice and sunny . Calm waters. Closest land 25 miles away on the west. I am alone at the sea. I haven’t
come across any ship today. The Dairy of that Pirate, writes that I have to get lost in order to find what has been
lost. I am trying to get lost but I know these waters so well that it’s kind of impossible.
Day 21
Unfortunately, I am unable to get lost, I have started losing hope, and maybe that Pirate wrote a bunch of lies in
his diary to mislead anyone that tries to find what is lost. On the other hand the weather is great. The waters are
calm.
Day 34
There is a refreshing feeling in the atmosphere. I was looking through my binoculars towards the east and I saw a
small boat...in the middle of the ocean. And someone was inside. I thought they needed help so I went for the
rescue. And now I have a visitor on my ship. She says she’s going North. She has a leather eye patch because she
lost her eye, but for some reason I think she is lying. She is hiding something.
Day 38
Update. She said that I am roaming the wrong waters, that if I want to find what has been lost I have to go
towards “true north”. “The Diary is probably telling the truth” she says. I will drop her off tomorrow to the closest
port.
Day 55
I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it for myself. You were right! “The Diary was telling the truth” .
Day 89
It has been such a long time, but I just noticed, I am writing in my diary like it’s a letter to you. I wonder where
you are..I wish I could tell you all I have seen since the last time we met. You would be proud for me, wouldn’t you?
Day 144
I just found out you wrote me a letter while you were still in my ship. You hid it in the last pages of my diary and I
found it today. I will not reply to you because I don’t know where you are, or where you live, because you haven’t
mentioned. But I know you did read my diary... and I knew it you were awake that night.
